outstanding adjunct faculty
The Adjunct Faculty Association recognizes outstanding MCCCD Adjunct Faculty at at the Adjunct Faculty Conference.
 
The Application Guidelines and the Rubric that is used as part of the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Recognition Process have been revised for use in 2012. These are utilized in association with the Adjunct Faculty Professional Practices Self-Assessment Survey that is based on the Rubric.
 
To be considered for recognition as an Outstanding Adjunct Faculty, you must:
Complete the Adjunct Faculty Professional Practices Self-Assessment Survey.
Receive an invitation to submit an Application for Recognition as an Outstanding Adjunct Faculty from the Adjunct Faculty Association.
Acknowledge the Rules and Understandings that govern the recognition process.
Submit a complete application for Outstanding Adjunct Faculty recognition consideration to outstanding@myafa.org.
 
Complete application for Outstanding Adjunct Faculty recognition submissions must provide the following:
Personal Professional Information
a. Personal: Name, Phone, MCCCD Email Address and Personal Email Address
b. Teaching: Total Years, Years at MCCCD, Courses Taught, Colleges Taught At
c. Degrees and Certificates
d. Professional Organization Memberships
Two Recommendations
At least one from your Department Chair, Dean, or Vice President of Academic Affairs.
One or more additional recommendations from other Residential Faculty, Adjunct Faculty or students.
Personal Biographical Statement
100 words or less to be used in event programs or other publicity if you are selected.
Include, for example, a best teaching moment or professional achievements.
Qualitative Supporting Summary
Provide a description and any appropriate supporting materials of the techniques, activities, projects and programs that highlight the outstanding nature of your performance as an Adjunct Faculty in the areas of Pedagogy, Assessment, Enrichment, Development, and/or Professionalism.
 
Submissions will be judged based on the Adjunct Faculty Performance Self-Assessment Survey responses and the content and quality of the recognition application submission.
