2,027 of 7,112 District Adjunct Faculty Responded.
The purpose of this survey was to test individual District email addresses for each Adjunct Faculty.
The survey also gathered information on communication usage and preferences, feedback on Load Limit policies, education times and topics.

  The AFA Board elected Laura Fry as Vice President from among 4 strong finalists to fill the position of departing Vice President Jodie Kay Petra for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2011.
8 AFA Members submitted their candidacy for the position.

  The AFA conducted a District-wide survey of all adjuncts regarding Adjunct Faculty Employment Interests.
This information helps in working with the Maricopa Community Colleges to encourage improvement in Adjunct Faculty employment processes and opportunity information.

  Adjunct Faculty Fall Workshop, Saturday, November 6 12:00-4:45PM at the Rio Conference Center
Theme: Impact of Globalization on Teaching and Learning in the Community College
Over 40 adjuncts representing every college in the District attended the Fall Workshop.
A World Café Inquiry approach was used beginning with a short presentation on globalization by Erik Huntsinger, economics faculty at Estrella Mountain Community College.
This was followed by a series of table discussions focused on defining globalization, student learning outcomes and pedagogy.
The response was very positive both on the subject matter and the structure of the meeting.

This information helps us understand how adjunct faculty use these programs as we continue to develop them.
